When we introduced our AirMedia ® 2.0 wireless presentation technology two years, it set the bar in the industry for simple and consistent wireless presentation backed by a full-featured platform. This platform enables high-performance wireless presentation capabilities integrated with an automated and modern room experience.
The guest connection experience has been a hot topic since its launch because the dedicated AirMedia presentation systems – the AM-200/300 – did not offer discrete network adaptors. Per the
AirMedia Network Security Guide, the recommended solution to support a guest use case was to have a separate VLAN with one-way port communications. However, this requires coordination with an experienced IT department to do it right.

Guest Access Mode for the AM-200/300: another option to enable seamless guest presentation. Check out the experience we are now enabling:
The details: How to implement this setup
- First, you need to get the optional AM-USB-WF/-I Wi-Fi® adaptor.
- Note: You may already have this if you’ve been using the Miracast® functionality! Best of all, the Guest Access Mode doesn’t mean you lose Miracast functionality. Miracast and Guest Access Mode work simultaneously with this adaptor.
- Update to the latest firmware version for the AM-200/300: 1.4494.00025.001
- Visit the web configuration pages and enable “Wireless Access Point Mode” and set up the front of the room to show the Wi-Fi connection info.
Bonus!
Don’t want to use the Wireless Access Point Mode, but want to show Wi-Fi info for YOUR network? You can do that now:
