CLCI-MCEX-W

In-Ceiling Motor Controller, infiNET EX® Wireless, 230VAC

A single-channel 230V bidirectional motor controller for window shutters, shades, and other equipment. infiNET EX® wireless technology connects the CLCI‑MCEX‑W to a Crestron® control system for complete control.

The Crestron® CLCI‑MCEX‑W is a single-channel bidirectional motor controller capable of controlling 230V window shutters, shades, projection screens, lifts, and other equipment. Its ultra-slim design allows it to be installed in the ceiling, either next to or near the motor. The CLCI‑MCEX‑W communicates with the Crestron control system using infiNET EX® wireless technology, making it perfect for both new and retrofit applications.

The CLCI‑MCEX‑W installs inline without requiring special wiring and can be controlled via a standard light switch.

Bidirectional Motor Control

The CLCI‑MCEX‑W supports control of bidirectional motors. Two sets of screw terminals enable easy wiring to the motor for open and close control.

Easy Loop-Thru Wiring

The CLCI‑MCEX‑W is powered using a set of high-voltage screw terminals and has a second set of terminals that are wired in parallel to easily daisy-chain additional CLCI-series devices. This provides a fast, clean installation when deploying multiple CLCI- devices and eliminates the need for additional wire connectors or extra gang boxes. In some retrofit applications, this lets you create more zones from what was originally wired.

Out-of-the-box Control via Standard Switch

The CLCI‑MCEX‑W provides built-in support for applications that require basic load control using a cost effective maintained or momentary switch to control the load. Use a maintained or momentary switch to perform basic open and close control.

Complete Crestron Control

A Crestron control system connection allows the CLCI‑MCEX‑W to be controlled from any keypad, touch panel, remote, or mobile device. Tie in occupancy sensors and photocells together with Crestron Fusion® software for a complete solution to effectively manage energy.

Simple Setup

Setup is simple, especially when using a connected maintained or momentary switch. A specific series of button presses initiates the wireless device acquire mode, so there's no need to climb a ladder to join the device to the infiNET EX network.

infiNET EX® Wireless Communications

infiNET EX wireless technology provides two way RF communications throughout a residential or commercial structure without the need for physical control wiring. Each infiNET EX device acts as an expander by sending command signals to other infiNET EX devices in range (approximately 150 ft (46 m) indoors) to ensure reliability and stability.

The device communicates with a control system via a Crestron Wireless Gateway (sold separately). Up to 100 infiNET EX devices may coexist on a wireless network.

Note: Any infiNET EX device that provides expander functionality will effectively extend the range of the wireless network beyond the initial range of the gateway. Battery-powered infiNET EX devices do not provide expander functionality. A dedicated infiNET EX Wireless Expander is also available (CLW-EXPEX, sold separately).
