- The ability to integrate with Crestron Fusion® software, to monitor all connected rooms across the enterprise
Four configurations to choose from The Crestron RL 2 codec is the engine that drives four powerful unified communications systems, enabling the requirements for every room type, size, and application to be met. The Integrator Kit provides the codec, touch screen, and rack and under table mounting equipment allowing for custom systems. Packages 1, 2, and 3 are complete, validated, out of the box systems. Package 1 is ideal for huddle and compact work spaces. It includes the Integrator Kit plus a camera, all-in-one speakerphone and optional 32” touch display. Package 2 is perfect for small to medium conference rooms and upgrades the touch display to a single or dual 60” that can be wall mounted or used with a stand. Package 3 is designed to suit the needs of large or extra-large rooms and includes a single or dual 70” or 80” touch display that can be wall mounted or used with a stand.
“We’re excited about the great flexibility that can be offered to our dealers with the Crestron RL 2 codec as the centerpiece of four turnkey systems,” said Joseph Sarrasin, Technology Manager, Unified Communications at Crestron. “The built-in switching capability makes for an even more cost-effective UC solution, eliminating the need for a separate switcher.”
Support for Skype for BusinessLegacy and current Crestron RL codecs will now support Skype for Business upgrades. Skype for Business brings together the familiar experience of Skype with the security, compliance, and control of Microsoft Lync. In combination with Skype for Business, the Crestron RL 2 codec enables group collaboration between people anywhere, anytime.
