Crestron Monaco Yacht Show Preview 2014
Sep 24, 2014
Lifestyle technology specialist, Crestron, will be displaying its impressive range of automation systems on stand QP5, Parvis Piscine, tente Climatisee at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show. The stunning Port Hurcule will play host to this year’s event which is running from 24 – 27 September. The Monaco Yacht Show is the world’s largest showcase for Super and Megayachts, attracting thousands of industry leaders and enthusiasts from across the globe.
Crestron’s impressive 4K displays will be on show, demonstrating that even out at sea, you can still enjoy the highest level of quality technology. A full array of lighting, music, video and shading control will be available, with attendees getting the full on board interactive Crestron experience.
This year the stand’s décor and furnishings have been provided by London-based Interior Designer, Louise Bradley. Louise was also the designer for Crestron’s stylish EMEA Showroom in the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, London. “"I am delighted to have a presence at MYS through my involvement with Crestron.” says Louise Bradley.
“I have enjoyed working with Crestron on a number of projects and have recently collaborated with them on their showroom in Chelsea Harbour. To be a part of The Monaco Yacht Show is an exciting first for me."
On the stand, visitors will be able to control the lighting, sound and shades via the Crestron TST-902 wireless touch screen. This thin, stylish panel also allows you to browse the internet, stream video and monitor the intercom system. The intercom and phone technology will be provided from RAVA™, enabling hands-free video intercom and telephone over Ethernet, eliminating the need for any special wiring. This means you can have full control over your yacht from wherever you are on the ship, whether you are relaxing on the deck or dining inside.
The wireless music will be provided by Crestron’s CEN-NSP1. The network stream player integrates your favourite iTunes playlists into the Sonnex Multiroom Audio System. Control over the player and the connected devices are enabled through a Crestron touch screen, or a mobile device, such an iPad or Android device, running the Crestron App.
The Crestron RMC3 is a compact 3-Series Control System designed to provide control and monitoring for applications such as this. Its small size allows it to be placed just about anywhere on board with the option to attach it to a flat surface or DIN rail using the mounting bracket provided. It can fit easily behind a video display or above a projector and provides enough control ports to control the display device along with a screen or lift.
“The Monaco Yacht Show is the ideal place to demonstrate our new integrated 4K solutions to the yachting community,” says Robin van Meeuwen, CEO of Crestron International. “This year’s show promises to be the biggest yet, providing the perfect platform for Crestron to demonstrate the amazing marine experience that can be achieved. Crestron technology transforms life on board with products that showcase excellent functionality and lifestyle benefits.”
